Il 2 Maggio a Udine Yoshinori Chiba ha parlato del film live di Yattaman e lo ha presentato al pubblico italiano.
The producer Yoshinori Chiba has presented Yattaman the movie at italian fan in Udine.
Come è nata l’idea del film di Yattaman?
Yoshinori Chiba- Inizialmente l’idea era quella di elaborare un progetto che riguardasse la riproposizione in termini cinematografici di alcune produzioni del passato della Tatsunoko, una casa di animazione storica, come Yattaman e I Gatchaman. Riflettendo su Yattaman abbiamo pensato che lapersona più adatta fosse il regista takeschi Miike. Chiedendo a lui personalmente quale fosse il film che lui avrebbe voluto fare in forma live ci ha risposto spontaneamente “Yattaman”!.
Questo cartone è stato trasmesso più di trent’anni fà e abbiamo chiesto a Miike come mai a lui volesse dirigere Yattaman ci ha risposto che quando era studente alle superiori era un grande fan di Yattaman e seguiva ogni episodio e per questo non si sarebbe mai potuto permettere di “morire felice” senza aver fatto il regista di Yattaman.
Lo sapevate che anche in Italia Yattaman è famosissimo?
Yoshinori Chiba- Si eravamo al corrente del fatto che in Italia il cartone animato avesse avuto molto successo. In realtà la mia decisione di venire a Udine a presentare il film è anche per il fatto di poter controlalre con in miei occhi questa fama. Nel venire qui molte persone hanno espresso un grande amore e fervore nei confronti di Yattaman e questo mi ha reso felice!
Quale caratteristica ha il regista Takashi Miike?
Yoshinori Chiba- Il regista Miike ha una caratteristica che è quella che mentre sta facendo le riprese aggiunge idee al volo. Per questa ragione le riprese non vanno mai secondo la sceneggiatura, quindi per me come produttore è ogni volta un colpo al cuore. Però è molto interessante e stimolante vedere dove la sua creatività ci porterà alla fine delle riprese, lavorare con lui è molto divertente. NON solo per la parte girata dal vivo ma anche nella fase della aggiunta ed elaborazione degli effetti speciali in computer grafica Miike aggiunge cose nuove che non erano state contemplate all’inizio. Continua quindi a stupirci per ogni nuova idea che aggiunge.
Come è stato accolto il progetto dai fan?
Yoshinori Chiba- Ad essere sincero inizialmente il progetto era stato accolto come progetto ai limiti, assurdo. Immediatamente divenne argomento del giorno in tutto il Giappone. Comunque ci rendevamo conto delle enormi difficoltà, addirittura era un progetto che avrebbe determinato la vita o la morte della nostra stessa azienda! Era una grande sfida.
Anche la risposta iniziale dei fan era tutibante: c’era attesa ma freddezza. Allora abbiamo deciso, come strategia, di tenere tutto molto segreto e non fare pubblicità in modo che le voci e la curiosità si scatenasse. Devo dire che questa strategia ha funzionato e il film ha avuto un forte successo e sono molto contento di averlo prodotto.
Ma è un film per tutti?
Yoshinori Chiba- Inizialmente avevamo pensato di produrlo solamente per adulti visto l’eta dei fan del cartone. Ma in Giappone da un anno sta andando in onda la nuova serie in TV che ha raccolto nuovi fan bambini che ne vanno matti. Quindi molte mamme di fronte ad alcune scene un po calcate erotiche (doppi sensi) hanno un po reagito.
How Yattaman project come to live?
Yoshinori Chiba- At first the intentions was to elaborate a plan for reproposition in live terms of some Tatsunoko old productions like Yattaman and Gatchaman. About Yattaman we thought to Takashi Miike as director as the only one able to adapts the film. Asking he personally which it was the animation serie he like to make in live form, Miike has answered spontaneously us “Yattaman!”. This cartoon has been broadcasted 30 years ago and we have asked Miike why he want directs Yattaman. He has answered that when he was a student he was a great Yattaman fan and followed every episode. Miike say he couldn’t die happy without be the director of Yattaman live film!
Do you know that Yattaman is very famous in Italy?
Yoshinori Chiba- Yes, we Know the italian Yattaman high fame.My decision to come in Udine to the Europe Yattaman film premiere is also to get in touch with this reputation. In fact many peoples here have espressed to me a great love to Yattaman and this make me happy!
About Takashi Miike as a director?
Yoshinori Chiba- Miike has a particular way to make film: while the actors play scenes he adds new ideas! For this reason the making of film goes always different to the storyboard. This is very difficult for me but it’s also interesting and stimulant to see how its creativity works. This way is used also at the moment of computer graphics scene making! He continues to astonish us for every new idea he adds.
How it has been sustained the project by the fan ?
Yoshinori Chiba- Sincerely at the beginning the plan has been received ti the point of absurdity! Immediatly it became argoument of the day all over the Japan (N.d.R. and Italy) However we realized that there been enormous difficulties: it was a plan that would have determined the life or the end of our company. It was a great challenge. At the beginning also the fan was hesitant, cold… So we have decided a strategy: to keep all secret and not make publicity so the curiosity get highest. This strategy has worked right and the film had a great success, I’m happy to did it!
It’s a movie for everyone?
Yoshinori Chiba- Initially we had thought about an adult movie, but Japan Tv in 2008 until nowadays a new Yattaman serie is broadcasted and many children see it. So many mothers reacts to some double sense erotic scenes…
Presentatrice- Ci sono voluti 3 anni per realizzarlo ed è già un film culto. Dopo la presentazione mondiale a New York lo scorso febbraio, questa di Udine è la prima proiezione all’interno di un festival del cinema (NdR la prima europea) la seconda proiezione al mondo (NdR al di fuori del Giappone) quindi siamo tutti molto fortunati. Sappiamo questo è il live action del cartone animato trasmesso anche in Italia a partire dal 1983, di questo cartone animato il film mantiene intatta tutta la potenza e la fantasia anche perchè sappiamo a dirigerlo è Miike Takashi. Qui con noi c’è un personaggio importantissimo della Nikkatsu di Tokyo, il produttore Chiba Yoshinori che sale ora sul palco….
